At your regular visits, we’ll provide the exams, screening and whatever tests are appropriate for you. We’ll also address any concerns, problems or questions you may have.

Prenatal Care

You’ll have a schedule of regular appointments during which we will monitor your progress, perform any necessary tests, and discuss any questions you have and any symptoms you may experience. Of course, we’re always available for any problems that may occur.  

 

 

Obstetrics/Prenatal Care Visit Intervals

 

Prenatal care should begin as soon as you learn that you’re pregnant. In most cases, monthly doctor visits are suggested for early prenatal care. Visits become more frequent as your pregnancy progresses. Your doctor will determine the schedule that is most appropriate for you and your baby.

 

 

Ultrasound

Ultrasound services are conveniently available at HackensackUMC Palisades. Ultrasounds are performed by a licensed ultrasound technologist who specializes in obstetrics & gynecology. This is a safe, non-invasive, painless procedure that uses sound waves to create images of the fetus, placenta, and amniotic fluid. You will be able to view these images in real time.

 

An ultrasound will be performed several times during your pregnancy, during which your doctor will monitor the growth and development of your baby.
